A Child’s Life is a state licensed center with a four star rating from the North Carolina Division of Child Development and Early Education.
Below is an overview of our classrooms.
Infant Room
In our infant room we focus on many milestones during the first year of life. We provide a safe space for infants to grow from rolling over for the first time to taking their first steps.
Toddler Room
In our toddler room we provide a safe, playful space to learn and focus on hitting new milestones like learning to eat, drink from a sippy cup, sitting at the table, problem solving, reasoning, thinking, and learning to use words.
Two Year Old Room
In our two year old classroom we focus on building upon what the children learn in the toddler room. Children will begin to use words and learn to drink from a regular cup. We also begin working towards new milestones such as potty training.
Three Year Old Room
In our three year old room we focus on helping our children learn and grow through play. Children begin to learn how to label their emotions and express them in a healthy ways. Children learn from their peers and begin to recognize letters and their sounds. Children will label, sort, and match colors, numbers, letters and shapes. We also have a strong focus on building independence helping them learn to dress themselves, put on a coat, zip and/or button it.
Pre-K Room
In our pre-k classroom we prepare our children for Kindergarten. We focus on hitting milestones like learning the alphabet, learning to write their names, counting numbers, and problem solving.
Our Playground
This is a split playground. The toddlers and twos play together on their own side. The threes and fours play together on their own side.
